Goal-

Learn as much as I can during the three months as a Mechanical Engineering Intern

Takeaways-

I worked with five other interns and reported directly to the head of the Mechanical Department. My main task was to design a locking hinge and quick-release mechanism for the CrystalSky monitors. I learned a lot from the full-time mechanical engineers who walked me through the prototype to production process. I made several iterations of my concept and reported weekly to the CTO(who always carried his daughter around). By the end of my three months, I set the record for “most money spent on CNC processes”. 

It was a great experience. Too much to summarize in a paragraph but I walked out with a much better understanding of what goes into a quality product.
